Beth Hoffman has been a Designer and Inside Sales Rep at Seigles for 2 years. She is currently working in our New Lenox Showroom, which just opened this month. We sat down with her to get to know more about what makes her tick. Read on to find out more about her favorite project she’s done at Seigle’s, her cooking specialty, and even what tops her bucket list.
What is your role at Seigles?
Designer and Inside Sales Representative for the New Lenox showroom.
What is your favorite thing about working at Seigles?
I love having a variety of cabinet manufacturers to choose from. With 7 lines we truly have something for every budget.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on and why?
I worked on a new home that needed to be wheel chair accessible. Seeing that project come together with cabinetry that was as beautiful as it was accessible was very rewarding.
What is your favorite option in today’s kitchens?
Big drawers. They’re so functional. I also love the wood tiered cutlery dividers.
Over your many years in the business, what was the worst design trend you encountered?
I’m glad the trend of using the same cabinet door style and finish throughout the house is over. It is much more fun to mix things up!
If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?
Comfort foods are my specialty.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love to sing in the car! I can’t carry a tune but I sure pretend I can when I’m commuting to and from work!
What is the most thrilling thing you’ve ever done?
I’m not very adventurous, but my three boys are! They have provided me with many thrills on and off the football field and baseball diamond.
What is your favorite room in your house?
Our family room. I love the fireplace.
If you had a 25 hour day while everyone else had only 24, what would you do with your extra time?
Laundry! I’m never caught up!
What is the top item on your bucket list?
I would love to take my husband and three sons to see the Red Sox play at Fenway Park.
