We recently finished a beautiful kitchen remodel in Chicago. The owner wanted an updated kitchen with contemporary blue finishes that would still blend seamlessly in their traditional American 4Square. So we worked with their interior designer and decided to keep a standard shaker door style and white wall cabinets to integrate with style of the home and give it a modern take with the mix of finishes.
We love the wood hood, which we ordered unfinished and it was then stained on site to match the trim work in the home. The refrigerator wall was perfect for tall pantry storage and some open cabinets. The peninsula/island has storage on 3 sides, including a trash pull-out, a shallow cabinet for spices, and drawers.
