We recently completed a beautiful kitchen remodel in Bartlett, Illinois. The owner wanted to get rid of soffits and the table and replace it with an island to sit around. She also wanted more functional cabinets for storage. And finally, she was interested in bookcases around the fireplace.
So we created a nice island for both seating and function, adding organizers within the drawers on the island. We also added taller cabinets to expand storage space. We created a new color aesthetic, with a two-tone kitchen—we used the island color for the hutch, bookcases, and mantle. We also added turned posts for a unique style feature.
