Before and After: Incredible Kitchen and Bath Remodels in Northbrook

We love the total kitchen and bathroom makeover we recently completed in Northbrook. This great couple wanted a complete change in their newly purchased condo. They wanted an open space through their kitchen, dining room, and family room that would allow for good workflow function, as well as, being an ideal space for entertaining their family and friends. They also wanted an upgrade to their master bathroom and closet.

Kitchen

To achieve their goals we opened up the kitchen by eliminating the peninsula, and we added an island that serves as a multi-functional workspace, gathering area, and serving area. Once we had a good working floorplan, we added the key elements to a warm contemporary look, which is a mixture of materials and textures—wood finishes, metal framing, textured glass, porcelain floor, stainless appliances, and quartz countertops. The end result is a kitchen that strikes the desired functional and aesthetic balance.

Bathroom

The master bathroom was remodeled into a functional, beautiful space. Sleek wall mounted vanities were chosen to carry the contemporary feel throughout this home. We chose full access cabinetry to optimize storage space and create that European feel. A double bowl wall hung vanity makes the space functional for him and her. The closet was replaced with a beautiful vanity area with wall cabinets that rest on the vanity cabinets to create beautiful framing for a makeup area and to add additional storage.

Again, we added interest by selecting multiple textures and materials. The cabinetry is a mix of thermofoil and wood door styles. And the vanity area is framed with wood cabinets that have aluminum framed back painted bronze glass.
