We recently completed a beautiful kitchen remodel in Montgomery, IL. The owner wanted to open up her dated small galley kitchen. So we took out the soffits, removed the sink wall and another wall in the kitchen—the kitchen and eating area are now one big open space.
She chose the traditional look of rustic birch cabinets, which were hung at 90 in with 6 in of stacked crown molding. The sink wall became an 8-foot-long island with seating on the back. The new cabinets include wide drawers, roll trays, a wastebasket cabinet, a deep cabinet above the fridge, a tall pantry, and a message center.
