Before and After: See This Wauconda Lake House Transform Into a Home

We recently completed an incredible remodel in Wauconda, Illinois. The owners wanted to turn their lake house into a home! Situated along the shore of Bangs Lake, the owners had the perfect location but needed some updating to the back of the house to expand the kitchen and bathroom to make it perfect place for entertaining their family and friends.  

So we eliminated the separate dining and kitchen areas and moved the kitchen into what was the dining area, took out the traditional table and chairs, and added an expanded island with seating at one end to maximize the space. We then made what used to be the kitchen into a dry bar located next to the refrigerator. Finally, we converted a small back bedroom into a butler’s pantry to extend the kitchen and add more storage.
