Featured Project: Gold Coast Chicago Condo Gets Makeover with Built-in Bookshelves and Wine Storage

At Seigle’s, we love the exciting process of kitchen and bathroom projects—seeing an old space transform to something beautiful and functional is a true joy. But kitchens and bathrooms are not the only rooms we get to do! Our designers complete so many kitchen and bathroom projects that when something new or interesting comes along, they crave the creative challenge. This is true of a recent Gold Coast Chicago condo project, and we love the results!

The clients had a small cubby in their condo that they wanted to transform into a wine storage space. We worked with them to envision how to maximize the space available. Our designer, Kara Turner, helped the client turn the room into both a beautiful built-in bookshelf library as well as a space for wine storage. The job was totally custom and involved a lot of intricate measurements to ensure a perfect fit. We maximized the space available, including open shelving, cabinets, custom doors, countertops in small spaces, and space for beverage fridges. Because the condo had intricate woodwork recently painted to a specific shade of white, we used Elmwood Custom Cabinets. They were able to color match the paint color and create a custom door that would match the existing bookcase cabinets on the other side of the room.
