It goes without saying that Seigle’s loves kitchens—but the story behind our love for kitchen extends beyond just the cabinets and countertops. We know that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Every day, it’s the place where meals are prepared and shared, homework is finished, the day’s events are discussed and dissected, and the mess and best of life happens. On holidays and gatherings, it’s where catching up and action originates. Ultimately, it’s where memories are made. This is why we love to build functional, beautiful kitchens—because your story starts here, and your memories will live here.
We love to hear your favorite kitchen memories. Seigle’s staff member Christine Myers knew exactly what stood out to her when we asked for kitchen memories. How could anyone forget a bunny bandit?
“An odd kitchen memory I am sure… this is our Lop-eared rabbit named Bubby who, as you can see, is a fool for grapes in the fridge! He would lay in wait or come running if he heard the door open and look to see what was of interest inside. He would then help himself to whatever he could grab. When he came around the corner from the carpet to the linoleum he would slide on the floor up to the fridge just like coming into home plate! If you had a banana or yogurt in hand he would attempt to climb you like a tree to get at it. He really was a character in every way. He was litter box trained, so he had the run of the house, but his favorite room may have been the kitchen!”
Thank you, Christine, for sharing!
