Kitchen Memories: It’s not easy being green!

It goes without saying that Seigle’s loves kitchens—but the story behind our love for kitchen extends beyond just the cabinets and countertops. We know that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Every day, it’s the place where meals are prepared and shared, homework is finished, the day’s events are discussed and dissected, and the mess and best of life happens. On holidays and gatherings, it’s where catching up and action originates. Ultimately, it’s where memories are made. We love to hear your favorite kitchen memories. Seigle’s fan Cathy Schmitt remembers one thing distinctly about a kitchen in her life: the color!

We went from 800 square feet (our first home) to a two-story cape cod that we took apart and put back together with a bigger, better, brand new “apple green” kitchen. The counters were “apple green,” which was back-ordered for six weeks because it was such a popular color! The wallpaper was also “apple green,” made to look like grass cloth that we thought was fabulous at the time. The avocado appliances looked wonderful in that kitchen!
