What is your favorite thing about working at Seigle’s?
The people—both coworkers and customers. They make this job fun and interesting.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on and why?
I have had many. Most include some sort of major remodeling that involves removing walls and creating spaces that weren’t there before.
What is your favorite option in today’s kitchens?
I like the full extension roll out trays. They are great in the pantry cabinet. I also like the 3-drawer base corner cabinet. I guess I’m tired of the Lazy Susan and the blind corner.
Over your many years in the business, what’s the worst design trend you’ve encountered?
Pickled finish.
If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?
Spaghetti or ribs and chicken. I like to put ribs on the grill.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza.
What is the most thrilling thing you’ve ever done?
When my wife and I adopted our 2 boys.
What is your favorite room in your house?
My living room. It’s a great place to unwind.
If you had a 25 hour day while everyone else has only 24, what would you do with your extra time?
Spend time with family. Life is so short and family is so important.
What is the top item on your bucket list?
I’d love to go to Alaska.
