We recently supplied a gorgeous kitchen and bathroom in Chicago. The owner wanted a unique kitchen that fit with the character of the transitional style of the home. So we came up with a design that combined a traditional shaker style with a contemporary slab door. We then went a step further and married the two elements with mouldings that matched the paint color of the shaker door by “framing” all of the contemporary slab style doors. This gave us some crisp lines and added some character to what otherwise would have been a very sleek and contemporary style.
This kitchen features a desk-height work area and a butler’s pantry, along with integrated refrigeration and deep upper cabinets over the range.
