When it comes to problems people have with their existing kitchens, a number one complaint—especially in small to medium sized kitchens—is that there just isn’t enough storage. If this is your complaint, this is a sure sign your home is ready for a remodel. With new cabinet features and innovations, functional storage can be transformed from your kitchen’s deficit to its number one feature, found in abundance.
Recently an Elgin homeowner came to us with a vision for a remodeled kitchen that offered more storage. To expand storage options, we removed soffits and expanded available cabinet space upward. We added a deep pantry cabinet with roll-out trays, a giant lazy Susan, a second layer of upper cabinets, and more cabinetry on the refrigerator wall.
