Sign Up Now: Seigle’s Sponsors Blood Drive on March 21

Seigle’s Cabinet Center is proud to be sponsoring a blood drive for Heartland Blood Center on Wednesday, March 21 from 12-4. Friends, customers, fans, employees of Seigle’s (and anyone who doesn’t fall into those categories—anyone!) can sign up now to reserve your spot. The blood drive will be at the Seigle’s main office, 1331 Davis Road in Elgin. Three spots are offered every twenty minutes.

To sign up, log in to the Seigle’s Heartland Blood Center online donor scheduling portal. Create an account and make an appointment of your choice.

Heartland Blood Centers provides blood products and services to 63 hospitals in 12 counties in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. They collect 200,000 pints of blood annually for patients in need of blood transfusion. Interesting blood transfusion facts:

• Your donation goes far! Your donation may be used to help as many as three different patients.
• You may need blood one day. More than 95% of Americans who reach the age of 72 will need blood (or a product derived by blood) in their lifetime.
• You may help someone you know. Around 75% of people over 30 years old have at least one acquaintance who has had a blood transfusion.
• Your donation is timely and needed immediately. Blood is fragile and must be used within 42 days of the time it’s donated.
