As a young, professional, active couple, the new homeowners of this bungalow nestled in Forest Park wanted to come home to a well designed, functioning kitchen that reflected their tastes. It was important to create a look that would blend with the existing architecture of the home and to provide a space that was conducive to cooking and entertaining. Our designer Tracy Paulson, of our Mundelein showroom, assisted the couple in attaining their vision by marrying functional design with style.
The kitchen is designed using Diamond Cabinetry with a painted white maple perimeter. The island includes a specialty finish of storm on maple as an accent. They chose superwhite quartzite countertops and a herringbone backsplash to pull the whole look together.
Special features include stacked wall cabinetry and an apron front sink. These features lend themselves to the bungalow charm. The kitchen also features a working island that is multifunctional as a prep space, eating area, and gathering area for guests.
We love the results in this inviting kitchen! Check out some Before and After photos below.
