Before and After: Watch a Kitchen “Grow” without Increasing Square Footage

We recently completed an incredible kitchen remodel in Frankfort, Illinois. The owner wanted a new kitchen that would maximize storage and increase counter space. So our challenge was to make the kitchen grow without adding any square footage. An existing framed pantry was removed to extend the work space to the right of the range. To compensate for this lost storage, we installed a 30 w x 12 d x 90 t cabinet pantry next to the refrigerator, opening to the side, providing easy access to this new and valuable storage space. The removal of a wall between the kitchen and dining room creates the illusion of a larger kitchen without actually increasing the size.

We added decorative end panels and two piece crown molding that extended to the ceiling to add style and character.
