Summary:
Execute sales strategy, identify customer needs, create kitchen and bath design layouts, and sell appropriate products as assigned by the Inside Sales Representative for the location. Assist Outside Sales Representative as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain showroom by replenishing brochures and supplies
- Provide showroom coverage in the absence of the Inside Sales Rep (in coordination with Corporate)
- Work with customers to identify needs and project completion timeframe
- Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
- Provide customers with product sample and catalogs
- Develop kitchen and bath design layouts based on needs of the customer
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
- Complete “Customer Log/In-Take Form” as designed by Inside Sales Representative for that location
- Type orders into the computer system or on vendor provided forms
- Work with Account Representative to place orders while taking into consideration delivery dates
- Check order acknowledgements as needed to ensure accuracy
- Schedule deliveries
- Consult with customers after installation to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
- Attend quarterly sales meetings
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
- The Assistant Sales Representative is subordinate to the Inside Sales Representative at each location
Education/Experience:
- Associate or Bachelors degree required
- 2+ years experience in Kitchen and Bath Design and Sales
- Minimum 2 years CAD program experience preferably 20.20
Skills:
- Ability to read a kitchen layout and blueprint
- Trend and design knowledge of kitchen and baths
- Ability to enter orders into designated computer system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Computer Skills: basic knowledge and ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and CAD
- Operation of general office equipment: computer, copy machine, and fax machine
