Meet the Team: Chris Catalano

We are excited to welcome Chris Catalano to the Seigle’s team! Chris is joining the team as an Assistant Sales Rep, where he will help with sales, sales support, customer consultation and design. He has been in the kitchen business for 20 years. We sat down with Chris to get to know what makes him tick. Read on to find out more about his favorite kitchen project, his plans for his dinner guests, his guilty pleasure, and more!

What is your favorite thing about working at Seigle’s?
It is a professional and focused work environment, with a family feel to it all.

What is your favorite project you’ve worked on and why?
Years ago I designed a small kitchen and incorporated a dishwasher into the layout. The customer never had a dishwasher and had been told that it would not fit. When I made it happen, the customer was so happy and excited that she gave me a big hug. I will never forget how important the kitchen can be to people’s lives.

What is your favorite option in today’s kitchens?
Blind corner cabinet pullouts when a blind corner is unavoidable.

Over the many years in the business, what’s the worst design trend you’ve encountered?
It’s a toss up: Pickled Oak or Euro doors in flat white laminate with the golden oak rail across the bottom or sides.

If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?
I would ask my wife Cheryl to make her baked spaghetti with meatballs—she is a great cook. If I’m home alone … pizza will be ordered!

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey

What is the most thrilling thing you’ve ever done?
Indoor skydiving.

What is your favorite room in the house?
The man cave. It has my guitars, favorite pictures, and books—I love to read.

If you had a 25 hour day while everyone else has only 24, what would you do with your extra time?
I’d take my dog, Gabby, to the dog park.

What is the top item on your bucket list?
I would love to get back to Hawaii. I was there as a teenager but only for one week. I would like to go back with my wife for an extended vacation.
